Grand Ma's Hobby

Grand Ma's "Hobby"; she liked to knit.
At knitting and purling she was quite fit.
She kept her wool in a great big box
with hundreds of pairs of knitted socks.
For our baby she knitted a Matinee
which he still wore at the age of three.
He loved the colours and the pattern she chose
and it did still fit him , in a way, I suppose.
It seemed to grow with him, as he got bigger
an amazing fact, you have to consider.
Hand knitted clothes, knitted with passion
tend to grow old and go out of fashion.

Always knitting with care and expertise,
Grand Ma's delightful way to please.
