Literature Text

On a corner, up a few worn steps
there´s a blue door open to let you in.
Years have passed since it was painted,
it´s shiny top-coat wearing thin.
In its window worn out curtains,
blocking out the bright sunlight,
beyond the door a staircase climbs,
ascending into the dark like night.
The old blue door in thick stone walls,
invites whoever dares to come
but deep within it looks dark and eerie.
Are we welcome or should we run!?
But have no fear an old man lives there,
he is ninety years and kind,
for many years he´s lived alone,
so if you visit, he wont mind.
"Come in. He´ll say in a friendly voice,
sit down and have some  tea."
He´ll make you very welcome
and at ease instantly.
He´ll tell you tales about himself,
his six children and his wife
and of the very special moments,
in his long and happy life.
He´ll tell you when he bought the house
so many years before
and he´ll reminisce what life was like
behind the old blue door.

Aww, that's such a beautiful story! :) Sometimes you find something you don't expect behind doors... I had tears in my eyes, I'm not sure why, but I really loved the atmosphere and the thought of this old man and how he's telling me all about his life...
