Literature Text
On dismal ,dark and
rainy days,
the weather mirrors all
your ways.
The grey clouds shroud
your depth of mind,
reflect the mood
you have inside,
but just as rain clouds melt,
move on,
hopes renew in the setting sun.
Light and warmth can
banish sorrow
giving hope
for a new tomorrow.
if you get caught and you get wet
take heart remember with no regret.
After rainy days,dark and forlorn,
the sun ascends on a brand new morn.

Salvation and Turpentine
Dead tired,
limbs gone lazy
after a completely hellish day.
I’m relaxing into a glass of something toxic.
Amber salvation chilled with ice.
It’s deceptively pretty
but goes down
like turpentine.
Dead alone,
with a welcome burn
that I hope will leave me numb.
I try not to think of his hands, calloused but gentle.
How easily they could unbend me.
I settle for escape
in the form of
self-medication.
Literature
crystalline
almost whole
dancing in the blue,
cresting waves beckon
from the deep.
enraptured
by swirling sea foam,
gathering star light
in my hands.
imposing
wreckage and jetsam
knotted in the reef,
lost landfall.
moonlit dip
across the never,
obeying the tide
ocean's pull.
quiet tears,
crystalline ripples,
salt and starry sky
tapestry.
unified,
ocean has my voice.
water glimmering,
exquisite.
you will swim
along her zephyr.
